“After Chopin”

Just last year, we commissioned local composer Sam Post to develop and extend the newly discovered Chopin Waltz (2024) in his work, "After Chopin." The piece begins just as the original Chopin waltz does, but explores themes of playfulness and introspection across 7 minutes, culminating in a virtuosic and fiery coda, as Chopin himself often did in his compositions.
